Last updated October 9, 2026

1. Introduction

Welcome to Furizzma. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy will inform you about how we look after your personal data when you use our application and tell you about your privacy rights.

2. Data We Collect

We may collect, use, store and transfer different kinds of personal data about you:

  • Identity Data: includes your name, email address and password, the mobile number you verify (sellers verify one), and the town on your profile.
  • Device and Network Data: includes the IP address you sign up and use Furizzma from, and the approximate location, network provider and proxy or VPN use our IP lookup provider reports for it.
  • Usage Data: includes information about how you use our application and services.
  • Content Data: includes your profile, listings, photos, messages, and other content you create on Furizzma.

3. How We Use Your Data

We will only use your personal data when the law allows us to. Most commonly, we will use your personal data in the following circumstances:

  • To provide and maintain our service
  • To notify you about changes to our service
  • To provide customer support
  • To gather analysis or valuable information so that we can improve our service
  • To monitor the usage of our service
  • To detect, prevent and address technical issues
  • To keep Furizzma safe: to detect and prevent scams, fraud and abuse, including blocking the networks they come from
  • To screen listings and messages for signs of scams, with AI, as the next section says

4. How We Use AI

Scam screening. An AI model reads listings and messages for the signs of a pet scam. It reads a listing when it goes on the site and when its words, price, delivery or first photos change: the listing's details and its first four photos, and the seller's profile (its name, description and town). It reads messages a couple of minutes after they're sent, with the conversation so far, but not the photos sent in them. With either, it's told a few facts about the account: how long it has existed, what kind of email address it uses (not the address), whether its phone is verified and what kind of line it is (not the number), which countries it signs in from, whether it shares IP addresses with other accounts or with suspended ones (not the addresses), and any earlier reports.

When the AI sees clear signs of a scam in a listing, the listing comes off the site straight away, paused until one of our moderators reviews it (usually within a day), and its seller is told. When it sees them in messages, our moderators are alerted, and the messages stay as they are. The AI doesn't suspend accounts, delete anything, or decide anything else: people do. If you think we got something wrong, tell us through our contact page and a person will look again.

Help with a listing. If you ask the listing form for help, the AI is sent your pet's photos and the details you've entered, to draft a description or suggest better photos. Nothing is added to your listing unless you choose to use it.

Our AI provider processes these requests for us, as our service provider, under terms that don't allow it to train its models on them.

5. Data Security

We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorized way, altered or disclosed. In addition, we limit access to your personal data to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a business need to know.

6. Data Retention

We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.

7. Your Legal Rights

Under certain circumstances, you have rights under data protection laws in relation to your personal data, including the right to:

  • Request access to your personal data
  • Request correction of your personal data
  • Request erasure of your personal data
  • Object to processing of your personal data
  • Request restriction of processing your personal data
  • Request transfer of your personal data
  • Right to withdraw consent

8. Cookies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on our service and hold certain information. Cookies are files with small amount of data which may include an anonymous unique identifier.

Furizzma uses Google Analytics to understand how people use the site: the pages they visit, how they found us, and roughly where they are and what device they use. Google sets cookies to do this only once you accept them, in the banner on your first visit; until then, or if you decline, it counts visits without them. Google handles the information under its privacy policy. You can change your choice any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of any page, or opt out altogether with Google's browser add-on.

9. Service Providers

We don't sell your personal data. We share it with the service providers below, who handle it for us to run Furizzma, and when the law requires us to.

  • Our AI provider screens listings and messages and helps with listings, as section 4 says.
  • Our email provider sends our emails: your email address and what the email says.
  • Our text message provider sends verification codes and text alerts, and tells us what kind of line a number is: your mobile number and, for an alert, who messaged you and about which pet, never the message itself.
  • Our app's notification service delivers the Furizzma app's notifications, through Apple and Google: your device's notification address, who messaged you, about which pet, and the start of the message.
  • Our cloud storage provider stores the photos and videos you upload, and our backups.
  • Our maps provider finds the places you type into a location box, like your town or a ZIP code: what you type.
  • An IP lookup service looks up the IP addresses Furizzma is used from, to help prevent fraud.
  • Stripe processes payments, as below.
  • Google runs the analytics and ads described under Cookies.

We don't share your mobile number, or your consent to receive texts, with anyone for their own marketing. You can stop text alerts by replying STOP to any of them, or in your settings.

If you buy a boost, Stripe processes the payment under its own privacy policy, and we send it your email address for the receipt. We don't see or store your card number: we keep what you bought, the amount, when, and Stripe's reference to the payment.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "effective date" at the top of this Privacy Policy.

11. Contact Us

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, or about your data, please contact us.
