Community standards

Furizzma works when buyers can trust what they see and sellers can trust who's asking. These standards cover everything you post here, from listings and photos to your profile and messages, and how you treat other people.

Listing a pet

A listing is a promise about a real animal.

  • List a pet you have now, or one you're rehoming for its owner. One listing per animal.
  • Describe it truthfully: breed, sex, age, health and price. If you're not sure of the breed, say so.
  • Mark it sold, or pause it, as soon as it isn't available.
  • Follow the laws where you and the buyer live, including licenses, permits, health certificates and the rules for shipping animals.
  • Don't list a puppy or kitten to go home before it's 8 weeks old.
  • Don't list an animal that's illegal to sell or keep where you are, or where it's going.
  • Don't hide a health problem you know about.
  • Don't advertise anything but the pet: no supplies, services or websites.
  • Don't put phone numbers, email addresses or links in a listing. Buyers message you here, where there's a record of what was said.

Photos

Families choose from the photos, so they have to show the pet you're listing.

  • Use your own photos of the pet in the listing, recent enough to show how it looks now.
  • Don't use stock photos, pictures from other listings or websites, or photos of a different animal.
  • Don't use AI-generated images, or edit a photo to change how the pet looks. Cropping and fixing the light are fine.
  • Don't show anyone's personal details, or anything sexual or violent.

Profiles and licenses

Your profile tells people who they're dealing with.

  • Use your real name, or your business's.
  • Keep one account per person or business.
  • Add a USDA or state license only if you hold it now, with its number just as it's printed. We look it up before your page says you're licensed. Licensing for breeders
  • Don't pretend to be another breeder, rescue or person, or Furizzma.

Messages

Messages are for getting a pet to a good home, safely.

  • Keep them about the pet: questions, visits, pickup and delivery.
  • Take no for an answer, and stop messaging someone who has stopped replying.
  • Don't send ads, spam, or the same message to lots of people.
  • Don't ask for payment by wire transfer, gift card, crypto or a payment app, or say Furizzma will hold a payment. Furizzma never handles payments.
  • Don't invent extra fees, like shipping insurance, a special crate or customs, or rush a buyer with deadlines.

Respect everyone

  • Don't harass, threaten, bully or insult anyone.
  • Don't attack people for their race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age or disability.
  • Don't post sexual content, or anything showing an animal being hurt or neglected.
  • Don't share someone else's address, phone number, email or other personal details.
  • Don't post words or photos that aren't yours to use.

Report a problem

If something breaks these standards, press Report, the flag button, on the listing, on the seller's page or in the conversation, and tell us why. We review reports.

Paid someone you think is a scammer? Our FAQ says what to do next, and our buyer tips explain how to spot one before you pay.

When someone breaks them

We may remove a listing, photo or message, pause someone's listings, limit what an account can do, or close it. Scams, fake listings and cruelty to animals get an account closed.

We decide whether something breaks these standards. Using Furizzma also means agreeing to our Terms of Service and following them.
